- OffiService was founded by Joseph Wengier in 1988. After working as a translator and a project manager since 1972, Joseph felt that he had the experience, know-how and resources to provide top quality translations and language solutions to the international market at competitive prices. Over the years, working closely with project managers, translators, linguistic editors, language experts and other professionals, Joseph has established a broad-based community of self-employed professionals who are no less loyal to OffiService than salaried employees, and who enjoy working with our agency. We encourage our translators to work collaboratively, and for particularly large projects we set up teams of translators who work under the instruction of a project manager. As necessary, the translators make use of software that helps maintain consistency of the specific terminology of each client (TM software such as Trados, for example).

- Making sure that the translation suits the client's target country is one of the main weak points of any localization or translation project. Translation and localization are a combination between art and good technical ability; accurate linguistic choice goes far beyond the technical question of correct or incorrect. We listen to our clients' feedback, and give them the time that they need to assess whether the translation suits the target country and draw their conclusions. Implementing the conclusions of the first round of assessment carries no additional charge. Here we should note that the results of the assessment are almost always positive, but we do understand that new clients may feel the need to carry out this assessment in order to establish a working relationship with us. A fair and honorable business transaction is the heart of our philosophy.

Stage 1: Careful choice of translator
- Our translators are carefully selected, not only for their linguistic skills but also for their technical and professional knowledge. All applicants are tested with standard tests according to their area of expertise, and only a minority meet the high threshold that we have set.

Stage 2: Editing
- After the translation is carried out, every document is edited by a technical editor specializing in the subject of the project, or by another translator. Editing guarantees maximum accuracy in translation of technical terms, and solves complex linguistic issues.

Stage 3: Designing the final appearance of the document
- At this stage, professional designers and document editors make their final corrections, complete the design of the document, and incorporate graphic elements as necessary.

Stage 4: Proofreading
- The fourth and last quality check is carried out by a professional proofreader. This ensures that the corrections and changes at the editing and design stage have been properly implemented and that there are no omissions or other errors in the text.
